How can I put my harpist in the shade @ our wedding?
My wedding is in a little more than two months...we're hiring a harpist, but we changed our wedding location which is now outdoors and in a completely open area, next to a large pond. She said the harp must be in shade somehow, but I'm not sure how to accomplish this without getting a tacky look...I don't know how beautiful a white tent or something would look next to the wedding party...I'm not sure how to pull this one off! There are no trees except a large oak tree probably about 100 feet from our "site" and it would be behind the seated guests..probably much too far to be heard, and she should be seen! Any ideas?
I had the same thing happen to me. Outdoor wedding, by a pond with no trees. The harpist needed to be in the shade. We ended up renting a small white tent, and had it sitting off to the side. I was worried about it not matching with everything and looking odd sitting there off to the side. But it ended up to be perfectly fine and looked great. There's not much you can do if since they require it to be out of the sun. The tent wasn't that expensive, it was lightweight and very easy to set up and move around.
