ideas for building small, lightweight 1 person platform...?
I am looking to build a platform designed for one person made of wood, height between 6 and 8 inches, length and width between 2-3 feet. Something easy to carry to perform on for programs I do at nursing homes...preferably made of wood

Use a 2x8 block (actually 7-1/4" wide) on each end and in the middle, and a piece of 1x12 for the deck. Screw the deck into the blocks. This will give you a platform that is exactly 8" high.
You can also use 2x6 blocks, which are 5-1/2" wide, and will give you a total height of 6-1/4". Hope this helps.
