What kind of food should I bring to a outdoor camp?
I am going on a 3 day 2 night outdoor camp, and i would like ideas for what to bring. i've bought:
3 boxes of kraft dinner
2 packages of instant noodles
2 boxes of granola bar (although im pissed off because my mom saids "i don't need to eat that much, leave it at home for my effing siblings",so maybe one box? although its not enough for sure)
1 box of the instant drink mix
2 cans of chicken a la king
a package/ 6 boxes of apple treat
2 bags of dried fruit
im bringing a pot to cook with.
UHH WHAT ELSE SHOULD I BRING? im gonna starve like this, lol.
a few more details:
1-its a hard camp. its not a EASY camp.
2. NO FRIDGE.
3. I AM ALLERGIC TO PEANUTS. SO NO PB

Are you going to be hiking, and having to carry all that you have to bring? If so, PLEASE watch the weight! Go to any of the outdoors stores - Academy, or even Wal-Mart, will have lighweight stoves, cooking equipment, and dehydrated foods that are easier to carry.
How old are you? how active?
2000 calories per day are all you really need for most uses.
You are awfully high on the carbs, both complex and simple. You really need more protein; you can make an excellent stew/soup from jerkey and dried veggies.
If you are not going to be on your own, consider combining supplies with 1 to 3 other people; it is much easier to cook for 4 than for a single person.
WATER WATER WATER. Plan on drinking at least a gallon a day if possible. You should have to pee at least once every 30 minutes, or you are going to be dehydrated before you know it.
