Is six flags magic mountain flash pass like disney's fast pass, the way it's timed before you can get another?
I was wondering if six flags (magic mountain in particular) flash pass (not the gold) is the same as disney's fast pass? In that it is timed, you can only get one fast pass within so much of a time frame or can you get as many in line as you want? Thanks!
It's more like the Disney one. You get a Qbot thing in which you can pick a ride to ride, but the regular flash pass (not gold), you have to wait as long as everyone else does WITHOUT waiting in line to get on that ride. So, if Batman the Ride currently has a 40 minute line, you have to wait 40 minutes to get on Batman, but you don't have to wait in the Batman the Ride line. You can ride something else like Ninja instead.
For the gold pass which you aren't asking about, it speeds up how much time you have to wait. So, for the Batman the Ride, the regular people have to wait 40 minutes, but with gold, you only have to wait maybe 20 minutes but not have to wait in the Batman the Ride until your qbot says for you to go to the ride.
In order to reserve times, you use the qbot. You don't put your ticket in a machine, and it comes out type of thing.
Magic Mountain's, Flash Pass is expensive though. In a lot of cases, those cost almost as much as your one day ticket price into the park. Disney's, it's free, but not at Magic Mountain. Magic Mountain isn't always packed. Now in the "off-season" it shouldn't be that packed compared to the summer. Go now instead of the summer. The only problem is that some rides might be closed because they are being rehabbed, but they will eventually open. Just don't go during spring break.
