Can I get this from a military surplus store or website?
When I was a kid, my father was in the Army and my grandfather had just retired from the Army so we had great stuff to go camping and hiking with.
Three things I'd really like to have for myself are: A real wool blanket, the large duffel bag and this one thing I can't remember the name of. It was a small telescoping shovel that with an adjustment could be used as a pick axe. It was light, sturdy and really handy.
What on earth are they called and where can I get one?
You can get all those at an army surplus store. The shovel is now called an E tool
