How can I improve hydration when I don't really like water?
I had a body test at the gym recently and found out that my hydration level while in the ideal range, is in the lower end if it. Obviously the advice I was given is to drink more water, but I really can't stand drinking a lot of plain water. Does it make much difference when you add squash to it, or how do flavoured or sparkling waters compare?
It's a myth that water is the only fluid to help keep you hydrated. You can add sugar free squash, drink fruit juice, milk etc. I don't have a link to it but I read a recent report that showed tea is an excellent way to keep hydrated. Also eating high water foods such as salad, grapes, strawberries, nectarines etc help to keep you hydrated. The human body takes water from the things we consume so you don't have to drink plain water if you don't want to.
