Why do my face feel hot and turn red when I eat?
When I eat my face starts feeling really hot and it turns red and stays like this for a couple of hours. I don't eat greasy fried foods or use salt. Just now I had a tuna sandwich and a glass of low sodium v-8 juice and my face is hot and red.
Read the labels. Some people react to monosodium glutamate with flushing and headache or nausea. Nitrites are also a preservative which may producing flushing.
