Is it safe to take a four month old camping?
My husband and I are planning on taking our three year old and four month old camping next weekend. My three year old has been camping before, one of my brother's took her camping a couple weeks back when they went fishing. I know my four month old wouldn't sleep in a sleeping bag but I doubt our travel cot would fit in our tent so any ideas what he could sleep in? Where we are camping has toilets and a shower block so getting them washed and dressed should be a problem.
Next to you? Follow some guidelines for safe co-sleeping to make sure you don't have suffocation issues with the sleeping bag, but other than that enjoy it and relax.
We went camping this past Friday night with some friends and their 19 month old and 2 month old girls (plus their older two children). Mom in that family routinely co-sleeps with Baby, so it was no big deal for them to snuggle up together.
