Is it a good idea to drink 1 bag of rooiboos and 1 bag of green tea in one cup 3 times daily?
In order for the green tea to increase my metabolism for weight loss and also the Rooibos tea to give me a large amount of anti oxidants. I also have Yerba mate but I don't know when and how I suold drink it. Any advice?
The amounts of tea and rooibos you're talking about drinking are completely safe. Rooibos and green tea are both very healthy, and if you drink them unsweetened, they are calorie-free, and certainly won't help weight loss efforts. The caffeine in the green tea may act as a mild appetite suppressant, which can also help you lose weight.
HOWEVER: there is no solid scientific evidence that green tea or rooibos help weight loss. Tea and rooibos have a number of health benefits, but there's no evidence that they change your metabolism in appreciable ways.
About Yerba Mate, very little is known about this drink. It has been studied much less than tea, and significantly less than rooibos as well. It's probably safe for consumption and may have health benefits. It also contains caffeine: more than tea, but less than coffee. However, at least from my personal experience, and reading the accounts of others, it seems to have a different effect from coffee or tea: it doesn't perk me up, nor does it agitate me as much if I have a lot of it.
One last piece of advice: if you're currently drinking out of tea bags, I'd recommend considering changing to loose tea. If you buy loose tea in bulk, you can save a lot of money, and buy higher-quality tea too, because you're paying for the tea and not the packaging. It's also more sustainable because fewer materials and less energy are used in the packing process.
