Should I remove and clean the stock thermal compound on a CPU heat sink, and apply Arctic Silver 5 compound?
I bought a new AMD CPU, it comes with stock heat sink. My question here is, should I clean and remove the stock thermal compound on the heat sink and apply the arctic silver 5 on my cpu.
Going to use the pea method, WITHOUT spreading the compound. That way I can minus the chance of creating bubbles.
DEFINATELY!!! Arctic Silver 5 can even fix the dreaded RROD on xbox 360s. It is superior to all (except maybe thermaltake grease). You will love the results.
